Notable Sightings

In Oman in April there were a number of Whale Shark around the Dalmaniat Islands and we were lucky enough to come across a couple one afternoon. There was a scramble to grab the snorkels and jump in the Zodiacs but once in the water we enjoyed quite some time swimming alongside those most majestic of fish.

We were then back in Oman over Xmas/New Year diving the Hallaniyyah Islands in the same liveaboard as in April. The reefs were extremely rich in marine life, especially Bearded Scorpionfish. We even found a couple of juveniles. We would recommend both of the Omani dive areas.

Welcome to the Log of our Dive Trips

Our last joint trip was to the Malvides where we spent a week on a liveaboard and then moved on to the island of Rasdhoo where we dived with a Spanish company called Drop Divers.

Prior to that we were in Pemba, Tanzania where we stayed at a very basic but adequate dive center/hotel and dived 2/3 times a day.

Earlier in the year we were in the Red Sea - the deep South and St Johns. Bad weather kept us in port for a cople of days and so we were able to explore Abu Dabab, completing 4 shore dives there. Then it was full steam ahead to St Johns which was wonderful.

Prior to that we were in Oman; the first in April 2024, the second over Xmas/New Year. On the first trip we spent a week on a liveaboard diving the Dalmaniat islands off Muscat. We were very impressed with both the boat and the dive sites so we returned in December to dive the Hallaniyyah Islands in the south. We were on the same boat which spends half it's time in the North, off Muscat, and half it's time in the south off Mirbat.
